NARI! So to start off, I work at a travel agency in Portland, Oregon, and travel figures prominently in my daily life. Surprise! I have recently found myself watching all the No Reservations I can wrap my eyes around, and one of my favorite episodes is Anthony's and Your exploration of Korea. I have yet to see a better foil, such a juxtaposition of characters than the two of you. Jubilant and optomistic (it seems), vibrant and youthful interacting with, well, the opposite. Not that Mr. Bourdain isn't fully entertaining. But you two dealing with eachother, seemingly well, was so enjoyable. And it was great to see someone who isn't a total stranger to a culture jumping in for the whole ride. I suppose I just want to say thank you to both of you, for the information (I do love to dork out), the entertainment, and for continuing to make No Reservations, which allows me to do the traveling and wishful tasting that I am unable to do. Nari, you are HOT!

Hey Nari, This show is by far the most real, down-to-earth, and at the same time entertaining programs out there. Not only does it explore the non-postcard locations of the countries portrayed, but it captures the essence of each culture using cuisine as a portal. Your episode of Korea was the best and most touching one thus far, everything about it was so personal and captivating without deviating from the focus of the show. This is coming from somebody who grew up in Sao Paulo, Brazil and would be biased towards that episode! Tony's a hilarious man and unashamed of his lifestyle, and you guys' chemistry on that episode was unbelievable. You are adorable, they should feature you more often! Watching a rerun of you and Tony in Korea...Yeah, our favorite episode. My wife and I were in Seoul and Kyung Ju in March. Truly magical time. Nari, I have to agree with Nick, Eddie and Anonymous, LOL. The Korea episode is by far my favorite, to date. Tony with you as his primary antagonist, prodding him along at every corner, was to say the least, hilarious. As mentioned in the earlier comments it was very funny and very touching. I've been all around this great big world, far out into where the locals laugh at your white skin and nobody speaks anybody's language but you're all drinking some strange liquor together all the same. I say this not to brag, but to tell Anthony Bourdain that he is the host of my favorite television show ever, that he is a real traveler. To interpret, to consume whatever is offered to you in good faith, whether it be fried spiders or pig's brain or dog or whatever--this is what it means to be a traveler, and not only is Bourdain a traveler he is an ambassador to the places he visits and to Americans who hopefully can see how the rest of the world really is. Why I'm writing this on your blog entry I don't know, I suppose I wanted to add "Nari, you are HOT!" and say that you're enthusiasm for Korea and co-hosting of the Korea episode has inspired me to move there to teach English after I graduate from college this summer. Please keep up the good work, honesty is a thing rarely seen in travel media and as far as I've seen you produce the only honest travel program on television. And Mr. Bourdain, you haven't been scared on northern Vietnamese roadways until you've ridden a Soviet-built motorcycle through them.

I stumbled on this show 2 days ago while fighting a nasty flu. The first episode I saw was the Japan one and I LOVED it! A show about a guy traveling to foreign countries with most of his adventurous goals tied around eating new foods. WOW! Whenever I get travel time in, that is exactly what I do. Then, he tells me that the Japanese have a word for it!!! I was instantly hooked. I immediately put it as number 1 in my Tivo. 1 good thing came from catching that flu. The next couple days involved sleeping, eating, watching No Reservations, and eating. The last episode I watched was the one with the beautiful, spunky, Nari Kye... By far, BEST EPISODE EVER. I don't think this episode can be beat. I LOVED IT! Not only did it have traveling and food, 2 of my hearts biggest desires but it tickled my YELLOW FEVER. Going to Korea, with a beautiful, optimistic Korean girl, eating, drinking, and karaoking. Life couldn't get better than that! Anthony is one lucky man! I and many others I'm sure, would love to see more of the sexy Nari Kye. Thank you for making this flu a little more tolerable.

Nari I just caught the re-run of the Korea episode. My friends and I have a bit of a wager going. They say, for a girl, you sure can drink. I disagreed with them. I said you were probably drinking shots of water in those scenes that you were downing the soju. So, who's right?

Anyung, Nari. The South Korea episode was so full. I teach ESL to folks who live there and am enchanted by your homeland's people and culture (and the food, OH-THE-FOOD!). "Dynamic Korea" is ridiculously accurate as it balances weight between ancestral deeds, Confusianistic ties, and the global market immersing the politics and people there. Nari, great episode last night! You were terrific, and so fearless. What would Tony do without you? I hope you also went on the Hawaii shoot this past Dec. If so, you probably noticed the vibrant Korean-American community here, which is completely interwoven into the island culture at large. Curious what your perspective was on that. So many successful businesses here are run by Korean families. Sorabol in Honolulu is my favorite Korean restaurant. Kim chee and other Korean foods and condiments are available in every supermarket. Keep up your great work! I hope you're keeping a journal which should be an interesting read someday.

Nari. So good to see you back on camera. The Korea episode is one of my favorites and now, thanks to you, so is Vancouver. I hope your associate producer role worked out for you and I hope we'll be seeing a lot more of you. Nari, Great show on Vancouver. I liked the showcase on the diversity and fusion of cuisines in the city, and the devotion its residents have for the city. But why no mention of the Chinese food in the Richmond district that is the best in North America and arguably even rivals Hong Kong? The tale of the massive Asian migration to Vancouver, and the corresponding profileration of culinary delights is a story in and of itself.

I think the show is nice, I like how it show the culture of other countries and what they eat. I have not been able to travel, so I have not tried different food, but your show but it in contrast and certainly detail. Mr.Bourdain you're brave and awsome at the same time with what you do, I admire that. Ms. Nari she keeps it interesting also she has alot of background history with her natives. Great show keep the episods rolling.

Hey, Good work with the Vancouver episode. I didn't like a lot of Bourdain's snide comments in the beginning though; he comes off as a giant jack*** rather than being funny in any way. Tell him to tone it down.

I could only imagine the stress at the beginning of the gig. Wanting to prove your worth, executing good shoots no matter what the cost and rolling with whatever comes. At least your heart races and you feel alive. I envy what you do for a living. Local TV news is so boring in comparison.

I really have to say that you did a wonderful job with the Vancouver episode. I have not been there since I was in my teens, so seeing it on television made me feel nostalgic for a city I barely know. And yes, like the throngs of others who have posted comments here, I think you have a great future in television, on either side of the camera.

Nari, I have just watched for the 3rd or 4th time the episode where you and Tony go to Korea. It brings me to smile, and also to feel emotional. Your passion for your country simply spilled over and drags everyone along with it, and there is no better television than that. I love watching Tony as a rule, but this episode is one you feel sorry has finished. We dont have the new ones in Ireland yet, but I cant wait to see them.

Well... I must say I'm undoubtedly frustrated. Personally, I'm disappointed that you, Nari, NOR Anthony nonetheless, have a CONTACT or Fanmail section. Yes, yes, the blog is great, but VERY impersonal in my opinion. Granted, you both aren't teeny boppers hoarding in truckloads of mail from adoring fans, however, considering the world travel, lust to mingle abroad, and general giddiness to the foreign... fans have no where to randomly write YOU GUYS like you so randomly visit others worldwide. My reasons for being so forthcoming are specific, though.. my hubby (a chef) and I (aspiring tattoo artist) adore the show, think Anthony is a RIOT, and yes Nari, to me, you're best friend material.... ... coming from a california barbie who has lived in Japan(addicted to Karaoke accompanied by endless nights of drinking)...and YES, I know youre KOREAN lol), received her 1st Dan in TKD a few years back, and have recently moved to an all-white community 3000 miles from my hometown in OC, California, and feel AWKWARD and ALONE lol..... know that your energy, and love for the nightlife of food and drink bring nostalgia to my heart. Nari, The episode on Korea was truly original and authentic. I could feel the emotion and felt like I was there with the you & Mr. Bourdain.
